Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, had a hammer named Mjölnir. Mjölnir was considered a fierce weapon that could level mountains and summon lightning with every blow. In this poetry blog, every Thursday, (Thor’s Day), Mjölnir will forge only song - sing of the mysteries and beauties of the world.

THREE LEMONS

I.
A man and a woman
Are a silence, a waiting.
A man and a woman and three lemons
Are a silence, a waiting.

II.
Assumptions
Unchecked, can bear
Their own tart fruit.

III.
An apology
Can take any shape
In the garden of the mind.

IV.
So many things
Can follow from
A yellow ellipsis.

V.
The tree in the yard
Never once thought of him or her
As its Meyers grew among the green leaves.

VI.
Sometimes fruit,
Bitter or not,
Is just fruit.
