Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, had a hammer named Mjölnir. Mjölnir was considered a fierce weapon that could level mountains and summon lightning with every blow. In this poetry blog, every Thursday, (Thor’s Day), Mjölnir will forge only song - sing of the mysteries and beauties of the world.

THE LEAF

Why did you pick this one up?
What caught your eye?

You tell me first.
What do you see?

I see a scorched, damaged thing,
wounded,
bleeding at the center.
You?

I see color: red, yellow, green and brown.
I see beauty.
I see life.

The leaf,
knowing better,
said nothing.
