Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, had a hammer named Mjölnir. Mjölnir was considered a fierce weapon that could level mountains and summon lightning with every blow. In this poetry blog, every Thursday, (Thor’s Day), Mjölnir will forge only song - sing of the mysteries and beauties of the world.

OPERATING SYSTEM

Once upon a time
a belief got inside—and grew,
got underneath everything.
Now it is what drives
all the little and big things
you do. Every choice.
It is about lack.

You are trying so hard to prove
it wrong by doing the opposite,
but this is how it gets you.
This is how it runs the show.

This belief is your operating system.
We all got ‘em. Mine is
at work right now,
meticulously choosing
just the right words
to convince myself, through you,
that I am not who I think I am.
