Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, had a hammer named Mjölnir. Mjölnir was considered a fierce weapon that could level mountains and summon lightning with every blow. In this poetry blog, every Thursday, (Thor’s Day), Mjölnir will forge only song - sing of the mysteries and beauties of the world.

SPIRIT CIRCLES

Some connect to spirit
through the sound of a gong
Some use poetry
to round out their music

Some set the curve
of a hawk wing down
to bask in the cleanse
of a full moon

Still others simply watch
a squirrel make loops
in an avocado tree next door
its chittering is ringing in the leaves
