Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, had a hammer named Mjölnir. Mjölnir was considered a fierce weapon that could level mountains and summon lightning with every blow. In this poetry blog, every Thursday, (Thor’s Day), Mjölnir will forge only song - sing of the mysteries and beauties of the world.

THE BOWL

this is the circle
we live in
pith, heartwood and bark

a breath to heal into
time unfolding
like forgiveness

a love that holds what it loves
like a bowl
in the hands of a man

an offering
from one to another
to another

what we remember is what
we remember, which takes us deeper
into what we know
