Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, had a hammer named Mjölnir. Mjölnir was considered a fierce weapon that could level mountains and summon lightning with every blow. In this poetry blog, every Thursday, (Thor’s Day), Mjölnir will forge only song - sing of the mysteries and beauties of the world.

AFTER A DOWNPOUR,

nature’s tears
bejewel a cobweb,

beading
every intersecting line

with the intricacy of
Idra’s net.

a breeze turns
the silken finery

into a breath
between branches

and the tiny worlds
of water within into

a shiver, a sigh.
so many reflections,

vicissitudes of sameness
shimmer across

a single design,
consciousness, cosmos.

oh, to be this porous,
self-satisfied

and present
to the harmony of one.
