Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, had a hammer named Mjölnir. Mjölnir was considered a fierce weapon that could level mountains and summon lightning with every blow. In this poetry blog, every Thursday, (Thor’s Day), Mjölnir will forge only song - sing of the mysteries and beauties of the world.

THE DANCE

Don’t wait

for the when:

for the collapse

to complete,

the rending to

warp and weft,

the bandages to come off,

the heart to open after breaking.

Start the dancing now.

Before the music begins,

before the mood is right,

before you’ve learned all the steps.

Knowing is not the place to start from.

The moves will come in time

and on their own, when you

partner grief with love.
