Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, had a hammer named Mjölnir. Mjölnir was considered a fierce weapon that could level mountains and summon lightning with every blow. In this poetry blog, every Thursday, (Thor’s Day), Mjölnir will forge only song - sing of the mysteries and beauties of the world.

CATCHING KILROY?

Hidden between
a parked car
and a shrub
in a mall,
teetering on
one knee,
is a man
in tatters.
He is
hard at work
etching
a message
into a curb
with a piece
of white chalk.
Everything
about this moment,
almost missed, is
urgent,
absurd,
private,
tragic,
and startlingly
precious.
