Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, had a hammer named Mjölnir. Mjölnir was considered a fierce weapon that could level mountains and summon lightning with every blow. In this poetry blog, every Thursday, (Thor’s Day), Mjölnir will forge only song - sing of the mysteries and beauties of the world.

THE CROSSING

River, boat, oar.
Fox, rabbit, cabbage.

These are the things
you'll think you’ll need

to authenticate, decorate
your dilemma.

Whether you are
a farmer

or a merchant
will not matter.

What matters
is what you carry

in your heart.
The arrival

is inconsequential.
The crossing

is everything—and how
you carry it.
