Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, had a hammer named Mjölnir. Mjölnir was considered a fierce weapon that could level mountains and summon lightning with every blow. In this poetry blog, every Thursday, (Thor’s Day), Mjölnir will forge only song - sing of the mysteries and beauties of the world.

THE GOVERNOR

There is a ghost in the machine,
a governor. You can’t see it

but you can feel it. It haunts you,
keeps you afraid

of your true potential.
Like a noose around the neck

it will choke you
dead, if you let it.

The issue is not how it got there
but how to get rid of it.

Buckle up, press the pedal to the metal.
Full throttle it, baby. Bury the needle.

Do some reverse engineering and
take your power back.

Show the governor
who the real governor is.
