Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, had a hammer named Mjölnir. Mjölnir was considered a fierce weapon that could level mountains and summon lightning with every blow. In this poetry blog, every Thursday, (Thor’s Day), Mjölnir will forge only song - sing of the mysteries and beauties of the world.

REALITY TV

A distant sky

suddenly got closer.

A flat screen TV

and its red roses

cavort for the one

bachelorette.

A pajama party,

giddy under blankets,

smacks its fragrant lips.

All the while

life moves like

an approaching

anniversary, holding

its breath before a candle

that burns brighter

as the days grow darker

and the pandemic is the norm

we know. A place to settle into.
