Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, had a hammer named Mjölnir. Mjölnir was considered a fierce weapon that could level mountains and summon lightning with every blow. In this poetry blog, every Thursday, (Thor’s Day), Mjölnir will forge only song - sing of the mysteries and beauties of the world.

PRESENCE

With no trace of the past,
no prior hurt or regret tethered to it,
the present moment came unbidden
borne only of generosity of spirit,
with poetry on the tongue,
and with every part of its message
behaving as an invitation infused
with levity, love and light.

Presence has never been so easy
to be with, its spunk and spontaneity
seeming to say: it's good
to hear your voice again.

It now hangs in a state of grace,
hammock-like, waiting to see
what will fill it next.
