Thor, the Norse God of Thunder, had a hammer named Mjölnir. Mjölnir was considered a fierce weapon that could level mountains and summon lightning with every blow. In this poetry blog, every Thursday, (Thor’s Day), Mjölnir will forge only song - sing of the mysteries and beauties of the world.

BY DESIGN

The client
is usually
given three

comps, choices.
What is it
about threes?

Three wishes,
wise men,
the Holy Trinity,

the blind mice?
Door 1, 2 or 3?
Shell games

with their trio
of trading places, and
the gamble there in..?

You should know
design number two
is almost always

a decoy. It is
the bogus prize
behind door dos,

there just to distract,
to deliberately
disappoint, so you’ll

move on to
number three,
the designer’s favorite,

the one they really
want you to pick.
They have saved

the best for last.
In the end
it comes down to

one or three. But
how long you spend
with number two,

with the decoy,
the distraction,
the disappointment,

makes all
the difference.
So…which door,

shell, mouse,
divinity, design
will you

choose?
And when
will you really

decide to see
who the real
designer is?
